This is a good product and is durable as well. It has recycled material inserts inside each of the planting compartments which can actually hold water or if you put poke a hole in them you can direct the water flow. I removed them since I am using it outside however. One thing to watch for is the back of the garden is made of fabric and WILL leak if wet. One benefit to keeping the recycled inserts in is there is no drainage on your deck, if you choose to hang it there. It is very easy to hang and durable with metal eye hooks. I have planted herbs mostly basil which is doing great. Also, if you do decide to keep the inner lining, I recommend adding some small stones to each pocket for air and drainage. Packing them away for winter is a breeze as well, just empty the pockets, hose out the old soil, let dry, fold up and store! I highly recommend giving them a try!
